JOB DESCRIPTION
Under general supervision, this position is responsible for but not limited to the production of recurring analysis of Nielsen and comScore data on a daily, weekly or monthly interval or at other intervals as needed. It is also responsible for analyses of data from other sources available to HTS. This position is also responsible for providing documentation, analysis and insights to the HTS Sales Team, HTS Senior Management, and the diverse group of Regional Sports Networks under the purview of HTS. The Analyst will focus on the consolidation and presentation of convergent data to craft standard deliverables, build sales-stories, manage ad-hoc sales requests and assist HTS in their business practices.

% of time spent Listed in order of importance:
• 1. 40% Analyze NSI data for notable trends - Alert the Research Director of any ratings stories associated with said trends – Help craft sales stories based on NSI results - Support maintenance of various NSI team tracks for historical reference, trending & local RSN consumption.
• 2. 25% Help facilitate Ad Sales requests from sales management, account executives, and planners -National Ad-Intel, Prime Lingo (Scarborough), Market Advisor (Kantar)
• 3. 15% Assist the Research team in the production of detailed ad-hoc projects, and general positive positioning of our research data to assist the day-to-day efforts of the HTS Sales Department both in New York and around the country.
We are looking for a Research Analyst for the Home Team Sports Research Group in New York. This position is responsible for providing detailed audience data analysis at regular intervals as well as on an ad-hoc basis. This position requires a Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 2 years' experience in media research at a Television Rep Firm, a Broadcast Television Station, a Regional Sports Network, a Cable Network or related company. Previous experience with Nielsen rating data methodologies is required. Proven skills in Excel and PowerPoint and a familiarity with Nielsen and comScore systems are necessary. Strong organizational and analytical skills are necessary. Good interpersonal skills, a strong knowledge of the professional sports landscape, a proven ability to multitask and handle special projects are required.
