Part Time Unpaid Internship
JOB DESCRIPTION
FOX Sports is seeking qualified candidates to apply for a talent relations internship for the fall of 2018 September 24th – Dec 7th, required to complete 200 hours over that term). The position will primarily entail collaborating with full-time members of the company's Talent Relations staff to assist booking, scheduling and managing of talent and studio guests.
This opportunity should be viewed as providing invaluable experience and contacts in order to better prepare a future as a sports or entertainment business executive. The successful candidate will effectively balance changing demands, a dynamic schedule and functioning well under pressure. Additionally, the Intern will have the opportunity to build collaborative relationships with other executives and staff throughout the company. A high level of professionalism and confidentiality is required.
Duties for the position include, but are not limited to:
• Familiarity with FOX Sports, FS1 and FS2 programming and talent
• Building talent schedules and tracking sheets in the Microsoft Office Suite
• Helping staffers with long-term planning and managing of talent
• Provide administrative support: calendar management, meeting planning, and general office
duties
• Work on special projects as needed
• Assists Talent Bookers in brainstorming guest ideas for live shows, preparing guest itineraries,
and assist with on-site logistics
• Working with cross department executives and staff on the execution of talent-related projects
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Strong interest in sports
• Must be able to work on-site in Los Angeles, California for the duration of the period.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Previous internship experience preferred.
• Must be a self-starter with the ability to prioritize, organize and establish administrative
procedures and work under pressure.
• Ability to handle confidential information and interact with high-level executives.
• Professional presence, good judgment and the ability to anticipate needs.
• Highly organized, detail oriented and a problem solver.
• Interns must be available to work 20 hours per week for the duration of the internship for 10
weeks.
• All internships are paid and do not require academic credit.
To participate in FOX's Internship Program you must meet the following criteria:
• Applicants must be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an
accredited university and be sophomore status or above.
• Be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship by the Company.
• Housing is not provided, so please have a housing option guaranteed before applying.
