Freelance Job
We are looking for a Freelance Field Audio Engineer to join our Washington, DC Bureau. As a Freelance Field Audio Engineer, you will be provided countless opportunities to work with field photographers, satellite truck operators, engineers, field producers, and reporters.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• ENG crew audio
• Single and multi-camera set-ups, sit down and walk and talk interviews
• Route audio and IFB communications from single or multiple sources
• Audio for Live remotes with single or multiple cameras
• Extensive, last-minute travel for breaking news
• Nonstandard work schedule, including overtime and weekends
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• Minimum of three (3) years newsgathering experience
• Ability to work well with field photographers, satellite truck operators, engineers, field producers, and reporters
• Willing to expand his/her knowledge of all aspects of field production
• Ability to multi-task in the field
• Varied technical TV media experience that will translate well into the fast-paced field newsgathering environment
• You will need to have your own audio/sound equipment (list of items will be provided during the interview process)
• Ability to travel and be flexible with work schedule
