JOB DESCRIPTION
Fox News is looking for a Writer to join our New York or D.C. Bureau. As the Writer for The Ingraham Angle, you will be responsible for drafting the most important portion of the show: Laura's monologue – also known as ''The Angle.'' In addition, you will be tasked with writing leads and teases for the remainder of the show identifying news and the elements that will make them stand out.
You will be assigned the following shift: 1:00PM-10:00PM EST
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Compose the preliminary draft of show's ''Angle'' and all intros and teases (including element choices)
• Manage banners before show to highlight which segments are missing them/need more. Pitch stories/guests on a routine basis
• Writing job on this show requires candidate to work hand in hand with show producers/talent on rewrites/plugging in new scripts
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• Bachelor's degree is required
• Background in either TV/print writing. Experience editing is a plus
• Able to write clearly and succinctly for TV
• Needs a keen sense of the day's news
• Clear, dynamic thinker – ability to understand the editorial machinations of the show and the host
• Ability to work under tight deadlines for quick script turnarounds
• Ability to work in a team environment and take constructive criticism from both show leadership and the host
