JOB DESCRIPTION
Fox News is looking for an aggressive and eager Associate Producer to join our Washington, D.C. team. In this role, you will assist with live shots, logging news events, identifying newsworthy sound and pictures and newsgathering. This pro-active, passionate and self-motivated individual will work with show producers and reporters to advance the networks' coverage.
You will be assigned the following shift:
Monday - Friday 3:00PM - 12:00AM EST
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist reporters in gathering video and select sound bites for use on air
• Gather live shots and produce packages
• Work with DC and NY based shows to gather elements for interviews, reporters and panels segments as well as create accurate and easily understood on screen graphics
• Listen to and log news events with a strong sense of editorial judgment to alert the network of newsworthy soundbites and video
• Work with reporters and other producers to set up and advance stories to air on the network
• Produce with teams in the field as needed
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• A Bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience in a broadcast, print or digital environment
• Exceptional editorial judgment and intricate knowledge of Washington newsmakers
• Strong communication and writing skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast paced environment on a daily basis, especially in breaking news situations
• Ability to work late nights and weekends
