JOB DESCRIPTION
Fox News is looking for an exceptional Associate Producer to join our Washington, D.C. ''#MediaBuzz'' weekend team. As an Associate Producer you have keen editorial skills-including a strong interest in how the media cover the news. You are an avid consumer of news media-from network, cable, and radio broadcasts, to print and online media. You are adept at finding short, compelling soundbites and written quotes that can help illustrate and enlighten our viewers about how the media are covering the news. You are a pro-active, passionate and self-motivated individual. You are a team player that works well with diverse editorial staffs, guests, and technical teams.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Researching and selecting video clips and news quotes to help craft informative guest segments
• Pitching guest segment ideas with a clear media focu
• Building graphics and lower thirds that help emphasize and enlighten the viewer
• Spearheading social media for #MediaBuzz, including our webpage and twitter feed
• Editing VO's and Soundbites for air, and package producing taped interviews and field pieces
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• Bachelor's degree and 2 years of television news experience
• Strong interest in how the media covers the news
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment, multitask, and prioritize on a daily basis-especially in breaking news situations
• Strong communication and writing skills
• Experience with iNews and Viz systems
