FX is a fully distributed general entertainment video programming network that telecasts original series, as well as acquired television series and motion pictures. FX's drama lineup for the 2017-2018 season includes the critically acclaimed American Crime Story, American Horror Story, Legion, Taboo, The Americans and The Strain, as well as the first seasons of Snowfall and Trust. Also included in the 2017-2018 season line-up are comedies Atlanta, Baskets and Better Things. FX showcases the broadcast/basic cable premieres of theatrical motion pictures, which in the 2017-2018 season will include Deadpool, Furious 7, Jurassic World, Kingsman: The Secret Service, Minions, Pitch Perfect 2, Spectre, Straight Outta Compton, The Martian and The Revenant, among others.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities
Work closely with the Director of Talent Relations & Events and the FNG Event Marketing team to manage all aspects of network events, including budget and booking of screening, red carpet and after party venues.
Act as chief talent liaison for local marketing shoots, including securing talent participation, creating and providing talent with detailed itineraries, meeting talent upon arrival, being the main point of contact for the talent leading up to and during these events, and managing their participation in the shoot.
Assist in managing events and festivals (Upfronts, TCA, Comic Con, FYC Screenings, ATX, etc.), including creating and managing detailed itineraries for talent, traveling with the talent, and managing talent attendance at event.
Coordinate lists, seating charts, invites and RSVPs for premiere screenings and parties, working in tandem with FX Networks Media Relations and other internal departments.
Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with network talent and their publicists, managers, and agents.
Manage day-to-day Talent Relations activities, including handling the department's gift budget, and selecting and distributing gifts for various occasions.
Requirements:
Four year degree in Communications or related field preferred
At least 3-5 years of talent relations and events experience required
Strong communication, interpersonal and listening skills
Excellent computer skills in Word, Excel and Outlook required
Good math and reasoning skills
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, and the ability to make on-the-spot common sense decisions
Must have an eye for detail and the ability to handle a high volume of information quickly and accurately
Must be self-motivated, poised, patient, and able to interact professionally with senior executives and talent at all times
Must be able to travel overnight, work evenings and weekends as needed, and be on call 24/7 during events and festivals
