The HR Coordinator will play a vital role as a business partner, as well as providing project and administrative support to the Human Resources department. This position is responsible for performing HR related duties on a professional level, working directly with the HR Director. The Coordinator supports Miami, Atlanta, and Los Angeles teams as a business partner across different functional areas including: employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment and selection. He/she also supports panregional HR project work.
KEY RESPONSIBLITIES:
HR Generalist Duties
• Support recruitment and selection process to fill open positions including: opening job requisitions in Workday, obtaining job descriptions, conducting interviews, drafting offer letters, and liaising with hiring managers for both full-time and temporary roles.
• Handle all aspects of the employee life cycle: account setup, conducting new hire orientation & introductions, processing new hire paperwork, terminations, and exit interviews.
• Coordinate various employee trainings centered on leadership, effective communication, and conflict resolution.
• Lead internal training efforts around HR processes such as performance management, as well as HR systems.
• Plan and organize employee engagement events that foster team building including social impact initiatives as well as additional HR-sponsored events.
• Support the HR Director on panregional LatAm project work such as the Talent Identification Initiative, Mentor Program, and Women@Fox initiative.
• Support the HR Director in the preparation of the annual U.S. salaries budget and employee engagement budget, as well as tracking engagement spend throughout the year.
• Ensure that employee information is up-to-date in all applicable HR systems.
• Answer employee inquiries regarding benefits and policies. Appropriately escalate inquiries to Benefits department or HR Director as needed.
• Liaise with Payroll and Benefits departments for payroll and benefits issues.
• Create and ensure that employee files and records are maintained in accordance with legal requirements and Company policies and procedures.
• Utilize HRIS database to generate monthly and ad-hoc reports and access employee information.
• Assist with relocations, temporary housing and visa processes.
• Perform other duties and work on special projects as assigned by the HR Director and Regional VP of HR.
HR Administrative Duties
• Provide administrative departmental support to the Human Resources Department on all employee matters.
• Process department invoices and expense reports.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS/ DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS:
• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3-5 years of relevant HR experience.
• Strong competency in MS Office (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint); knowledge of Workday is highly desired.
• Ability and record of confidentiality.
• Excellent follow-through on assignments, demonstrated commitment to accomplishing tasks and projects.
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, strong customer service orientation, and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization and with a wide range of clients, individually and in groups.
• Solid employee-relations skills; must be approachable and able to earn trust credibility with employees in the organization.
• Ability to anticipate team needs and respond accordingly.
• Must be detail-oriented and able to handle and follow through on multiple tasks and projects at one time with ability to prioritize the workload and use time efficiently.
• Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English is required.
• This position is based in Miami and reports to the HR Director.
