Full Time Job
We are looking for a Casting Manager with a knack for identifying existing and up and coming talent for our shows and help us find our next big star. You will work closely with casting directors, talent agents and managers, and attend industry events, festivals, and showcases to identify talent for upcoming roles.
A SNAPSHOT OF RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage pilot casting and audition process for casting shows
• Meet with talent agents and managers to review and discuss their client lists, and emerging talent
• Look for new and innovative ways to source and engage talent
• Scout for talent, by attending plays, musicals, stand-up comedy shows, classes, workshops, and talent showcases
• Establish and maintain relationships with actors to strengthen the current shows
• Generate a list of annual festivals and/or events to potentially attend during the course of the year in order to scout talent for our shows
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• Bachelor's degree in drama, theatre or a related area
• A minimum of 5 years casting experience, preferably at a television network or film studio
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multitask and work effectively with changing priorities and deadlines
• Good organization and project management skills
• A demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective interpersonal and business relationships is essential, including a demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people
