We are looking for a Creative Director, Comedy & Alternative Entertainment to join our Special Operations department and lead a team of writer/producers through ideation, planning and execution of end to end creative video content marketing initiatives for FOX Entertainment's lineup of prime time comedies, alternative entertainment series and specials.We're looking for someone who has extensive experience collaborating, managing, creating and implementing a strategic approach to content creation across all known video platforms. You will be stepping into a pivotal role that works collaboratively across internal departments such as Media, Publicity, Programming, On-Air Promo, Partnership Development, Content Partnerships, Digital, Sales and Social to deliver unique creative executions and inventive story-driven video content customized to their needs. You will have the unique opportunity to develop relationships and work with the best writers, producers, and editors in the business and we want you to join us to help push the envelope in the world of Comedy and Alternative Entertainment.
A SNAPSHOT OF RESPONSIBILITIES
• Oversee a team of writer / producers who create video content driven campaigns and franchises that engage audiences, encourage brand affinity and create revenue opportunities across digital / social platforms
• Provide creative direction for the day to day development and execution of video content from inception to distribution across all video platforms (Affiliates, Talent Socials, YouTube, Hulu, FOXNOW, FOX.com, Social, etc.)
• Organize and lead content planning meetings, brainstorms and rollout meetings in an effort to streamline and encourage interdepartmental communication
• Help define the creative direction of the network's marketing efforts across platforms by collaborating with internal teams and soliciting work from outside vendors and partners
• Provide clear and insightful creative direction / feedback on video content in an effort to meet stated performance goals and reach specific audience targets
• Track and analyze the evolution of creative marketing across competitive networks on social media, digital, mobile, tablet and connected-TV platforms
• Develop long lead video content campaigns that will drive awareness and intent with target audiences and demographics
• Attend launch teams, strike teams, leadership meetings and marketing strategy meetings; relay information to the Special Ops team for planning and execution.
• Contribute new sources of creative inspiration to the creative team by sharing relevant examples, facilitating free-form ideation or managing development initiatives
• Actively train, mentor, and manage junior- and mid-level creatives; proactively identify and resolve conflicts and issues
• Act as a career manager for direct reports and manag work quality and performance
• Stay up to date with emerging video platform capabilities and consumer behaviors to ensure that FOX is first to market for activating innovative content driven campaigns
• Consistently inspire the creative team to create world-class, culture-shifting, pioneering video content initiatives
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• Bachelor's degree in a related area
• Minimum of 5-7 years video writing / producing /editing experience
• A thorough knowledge of branding systems and identities
• Expert knowledge of Mac iOS, Avid, Final Cut Pro, QuickTime and web design
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
• Knowledge of break structures, media ownership, creative content, release dates, product co-sponsorships and application, union and guild rules
• Ability to review TV content quickly and accurately, see patterns and distill information for decision makers
• Excellent oral and communication skills
• Ability to problem-solve and think on your feet while multi-tasking and work effectively with changing priorities/deadlines
• Project management and organizational skills
