Search for Director, Sports Inventory Management jobs in New York-NY
We are looking for a Director of Sports Inventory Management! You are responsible for inventory and unitization for assigned sports. You collaborate with other key departments including Comm Administration, Research, Brand Partnerships, and Sales to ensure requisite tools are in place for the creation and maintenance of deals and the maximization of inventory/revenue.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
-Build formats and manage all broadcast inventory for assigned sports
-Strategize with the Sales team to develop and implement plans to utilize all inventory, maximize revenue and create extra earned value for undersold inventory
-Work with Commercial Administration and BS&P to ensure all Billboards and Commercials are trafficked and approved for air
-Work in tandem with Brand Partnerships Sports team to implement commercial/enhancement adjacency for important live events
-Maintain real-time inventory control in cases of extra innings, OT and game/race stoppages or delays
-Strategize with Sales to develop and implement plans to utilize all inventory and maximize revenue
-Work with Sales to create extra earned value for undersold inventory
-Communicate with Production on Added Value
-Participate in the review and enhancement of Ad Sales systems
-Establish and assess process and procedure requirements for Sales Associates
-Train Managers and Analysts in Sports Inventory
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
-At least 7 years' Inventory Management experience
-Sports experience is preferred
-Management experience with leadership ability
-Superior analytical and critical thinking skills
-Ability to distill complicated detail into digestible and actionable summaries
-Experience dealing with senior management
-Excel proficiency
-Significant experience with Ad Sales systems, both operational and strategic components
-Strong practical mathematical skills
-Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal
-Collegiate degree is preferred
