JOB DESCRIPTION
Fox Business Network is looking for an experienced, hardworking, and creative Senior Producer to join our Primetime lineup team. As the Senior Producer you exhibit leadership qualities with a positive attitude and strong ethic. You are someone who loves making great television and willing to work harder than anyone else to make it happen. Your breaking news experience and excellent editorial judgments will allow you to thrive in this role.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide strong news judgment and manage all facets of the production
• Set the editorial and production standards and provide leadership in the newsroom
• Manage broadcast and team to meet content objectives and newscast strategies to live up to the brand
• Oversee control room operations
• Be a lead voice on editorial and content for the show – day of and beyond
• React to breaking news, oversee the bookers and editorial team to ensure the right guests are getting on the air as news happens
• Manage and develop segment producers, line producers, writers, and Pas
• Ability to manage strong personalities, including talent
• Coordinate guests, field crews, shoots, and staffing
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• At least 8 years of newsroom experience and producing / line producing a television newscast
• Excellent organizational and managerial skills as well as the ability to create an environment that fosters team work
• Decisive and skilled management of a control room is a must
• Must be detail oriented and able to work under pressure and meet multiple daily deadlines
• Knowledge and passion for current events and politics
• Exceptional editorial skills: Ability to recognize stories with high potential for compelling television
• Proven track record of leadership and newscast ratings growth
• Degree in Journalism or related field
