Opportunity: The Studio Host works at Formosa Interactive's Burbank location with occasional travel to the West LA Facilities to provide identical duties as needed. This unique position goes beyond basic ''reception job'' duties and provides critical support to our team of producers and the clients we serve. The role requires time management between three main areas of focus: Client Services, Facility Services, and Administrative Services. We are a client-facing services business at our core and the Studio Host must be confident and comfortable with key client engagement and interactions. The ideal candidate has strong interpersonal skills and can communicate and operate effectively with many personality types and varied work styles. The role requires strong multi-tasking skills coupled with excellent organization and planning acumen - attention to detail is key. Demonstrated experience with hospitality and foodservice is essential. Self-starter types will succeed in this role and are encouraged to innovate and make it their own!
Responsibilities:
• Maintain front of house at all times
• Greet clients, directors, and actors, and assist them with any needs or requests
• Prepare catering breakfast and afternoon snack each day for each studio
• Grocery shop for meal preparation and facility needs
• Manage and track studio supply orders with approved vendors
• Stock all food and beverage thoroughly throughout each day
• Maintain a clean and organized environment in all common areas around the building
• Answer phones and direct calls as needed
• Dispense all parking validation and parking signs
• Check mail and handle occasional shipping needs
• Facilitate intercompany runners when requested
• Issue and resolve facility maintenance requests
• Create and submit expense reports
• Generate cast and credit lists for interactive projects
• Maintain a thorough understanding of the ever-evolving studio schedule
• Take initiative to learn from the on-staff producers and assist them in any down time
Required Skills:
• Develop creative client service presentations surrounding food prep
• Superb customer service and people skills with a professional and welcoming demeanor
• General understanding of Microsoft Office with exceptional email etiquette
• Prioritize tasks and time manage with little supervision
• The ability to multi-task with excellent communication and attention to detail
• Quick thinking and problem solving in a fast paced and dynamic environment
• Interest in and general knowledge of the interactive video game industry.
• A warm and energetic personality, as well as a sense of humor
Preferred Skills:
• Familiarity with the entertainment industry, post-production houses specifically
• Prior administrative experience in the entertainment industry is plus
• Prior food service or catering experience is a plus
Qualifications:
Education:
• High School education or equivalent required.
• BA/BS in applicable field preferred.
