The Foreign Policy Association is seeking talented, early-career journalists and international relations professionals for its 2018 Fellows Program. These five & six month fellowships are highly competitive, offering young reporters, aspiring editors or international relations professionals the chance to work closely with seasoned professionals on a PBS television series examining eight global challenges facing America today.
Fellows play a key role in the daily production of the Great Decisions broadcast on PBS and receive an Associate Producer credit on the episodes they are assigned. Fellows support extensive topic research, guest booking, script development and archival research. Fellows will be able to attend all FPA events in New York, schedule permitting. This full time fellowship begins June 1, 2018 in New York City with possible travel to Washington, DC.
Job Description:
- Research, write and edit episodes of Great Decisions television on PBS
- Research organizations, images, interviewees and video clips
- Contribute to FPA web production, including content creation, copy-editing, and social media when time permits
- Support the field production team as experts, journalists, decisions makers and world leaders are interviewed in New York and Washington
Fellows receive a small monthly stipend to defray expenses.
