Marketing Analytics Intern (Spring 2019)

First Look Media is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Marketing Analytics intern to join our team in New York, NY. We're looking for exceptional candidates who are excited about marketing, social engagement and developing audiences in a start-up environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with data analytics including platforms such as Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, or Youtube. This is a unique opportunity for an individual to collaborate and gain experience with FLM's Marketing & Audience Development team.
Review, analysis, and package marketing performance data to provide teams with recommendations
Helping with paid media and optimizing for campaign success
Monitor social conversation, audience engagement and community management
Track views, reach and scope of video assets, talent, and content and making optimization recommendations
Assist in outlining social strategy
Analyze data, traffic and user behavior to inform marketing campaigns and targeting
Provide strategic insight and research for each piece of content and rollout
Attend editorial and analytics weekly meetings
Pull data from multiple data sources and perform ad hoc analysis as necessary
Maintain and update internal database and spreadsheets
Background & Qualifications:
Must be current Junior, Senior or MBA student
Knowledge of strategic analysis and thinking
Ability to understand the automating process of reporting, familiarity with BI tools such as Google Data Studio, Looker, etc. is a plus
Experience with data analysis, manipulation, and presentation
Experience using data software packages (experience with any of the following: strong Excel skills, R, Google Analytics, etc.)
Social listening / analytics knowledge a plus
Strong writing, creative, communication, organization, and presentation skills
Example Special Projects:
Developing audience growth strategies for Topic.com
Propose new marketing campaign ideas based on data and insights
Digging into readership patterns and social engagement for The Intercept
Building reports and templates to surface actionable insights for Topic, The Nib, The Intercept and Field of Vision
Creating training sessions for the organization on available tools and data
