Summary/Objective:
We are looking for a new Production Manager to support our Head of Production (HoP) and Director of Production (DoP). You will play an integral role in the company, as the central hub of the Production Department. An ideal candidate will be a proven leader, with experience as a production manager or assistant director in the independent and digital spaces. You should be comfortable with complex scheduling, managing and filtering large amounts of information to create executable production plans on a daily and weekly basis, This role reports to the Director of Production.
The programs you will be using include Air Table, Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Drive, Asana, EP Budgeting & Scheduling, and other project and workflow management software. For non-tangible skills, you must be organized, personable, and communicative.
This is an excellent opportunity to learn the growing digital media landscape and is perfect for someone who wants to build a career in physical production and digital media.
Production Manager Responsibilities:
Will work with the Director of Production to update and manage the shoots calendar.
Creating and disseminating call sheets and production reports daily.
Owning the scheduling of talent, crew, and facilities with a focus on the economization of resources.
Works with the coordinator and talent teams to implement a consistent, efficient and effective workflow.
Assists the Director of Production in monitoring departmental expenditures.
Provide professional leadership to junior team members.
Utilizes Airtable, Google Calendars, and other organizational and scheduling software to provide transparency and administration for production and other departments.
Uphold a strict level of confidentiality.
Strong organizational, project management and problem-solving skills with impeccable multi-tasking abilities.
Proactive spirit needed - needs to be constantly thinking of new ways to streamline tasks and day to day expectations.
Prioritizes conflicting needs; handles matters expeditiously, proactively, and follows-through on projects to successful completion, often with deadline pressures.
Production Manager Requirements:
Proven experience in high-level production management or assistant directing, including the day to day operation of a production office.
Extensive familiarity with call sheets, scheduling, and on-set protocols.
In-depth understanding of Airtable and Google Drive.
Ability to organize a daily workload by priorities.
Must be able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced quickly changing environment.
A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making skills.
Professional level verbal and written communications skills.
