Production Coordinator (Full-Time)
FBE is hiring an experienced Production Coordinator to oversee our studio and talent scheduling, lead new casting initiatives, and manage our stellar PA team. The ideal candidate has experience working both on-set and in production offices, has experience working directly with talent, and a strong understanding of the production process. The star candidate is also a strong leader and manager and has past experience working in the digital space in similar capacities.
This position reports to the Director of Production and works Sunday-Thursday. Benefits available to full-time employees include: medical, dental, vision, 401k, paid time-off, paid holidays, paid sick days, company events, and more!
Primary Responsibilities:
Work with our team of Producers to field casting requests, seek talent availability, and build and maintain daily/weekly shoot schedules. Our primary shoot week is Sunday-Thursday and this role will be required work on those days.
Responsible for leading new casting initiatives to help our Producing team find new and unique talent to feature in our episodes. Our content uses real people (not actors) so casting is typically done through outreach across our social media channels and other targeted platforms.
Lead and manage a team of full-time Production Assistants and the Assistant Production Coordinator, including daily stand-ups, regular 1:1's, setting performance metrics, career goals, and helping them achieve success in their roles.
Tackling quick turnarounds and multiple productions simultaneously while ensuring the teams are hitting deadlines. This is a fast-moving environment with continuous shoot cycles, more similar to a nightly news broadcast than traditional scripted production.
Additional Responsibilities:
Maintaining talent roster and records
Interact with celebrity talent and agents/managers in a professional manner
Monitoring production updates and communications, relaying any pertinent information
Primary liaison for all talent communications, scheduling, booking and talent relations
Primary support and assistance for Director of Production
Building and maintaining production files and records
Building daily call sheets
Tracking and confirming all deadlines for the department are met
Attending production meetings
Building and maintaining best practice documentation
Maintain effective and proactive department-wide communication
Training and communicating all workflow changes to the team
Building and maintaining documentation
Tracking and maintaining talent paperwork
Coordinating with other department managers when staff is needed for shoots
Requirements:
4+ years experience in Production, including PA/internships
2+ years experience a non-entry level production role (eg. APOC, Coordinator, AD)
Able & willing to keep up with the demands of a fast-moving creative environment and adapt quickly to evolving processes and workflows
Excellent communication, organization, time management, and problem-solving skills
Understanding of production paperwork such as COI, CC Auths, vendor applications, invoicing, time cards, start the paperwork, deal memos, etc.
Proactive, independent, and maintains a tenacious work ethic
Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring all deadlines are met appropriately
Flexibility in schedule and willing to work nights/weekends when necessary
Strong administrative skills and familiarity with all G Suite Applications
Ideal candidates possess a strong awareness of YouTube & internet culture, memes, vernacular, pop culture etc.
Ideal candidates have experience working directly with celebrity talent/agents/managers in a production capacity
