FBE is hiring an experienced Producer to develop and produce projects as a part of our Digital Production team! This role requires a combination of developing new series/formats while producing existing shows for the REACT Channel and beyond. Candidates should be strong leaders and role models for their team and be able to provide examples of past work in unscripted digital content.
The star candidate has a proven track record of developing new formats for digital platforms and holds experience/strong interest in Gaming content such as Let's Plays and Twitch.
This position works closely with the Supervising and Senior Producer(s) and reports to the Production Manager. Benefits available to full-time employees include: medical, dental, vision, 401k, paid time-off, paid holidays, paid sick days, company events, and more!
Primary Responsibilities:
Researching, developing, and executing assigned episodes from development through delivery, taking full ownership to ensure productions are completed on time and within budget
Assist with episode casting, including finding and approving new series talent ongoing
Approve and maintain production schedules in collaboration with the Production Manager and Post Supervisor, ensuring deadlines are being met by all team members
Prep and execute physical production of shoots, including interviewing on-camera talent across all ages (eg. kids, senior citizens) and celebrities
Maintain episodes through Post Production process, including reviews/notes, sitdowns, graphics requests, approvals, and final deliverables
Participate in episode's live release, engaging with the audience and making thumbnail and title changes as appropriate
Participate in regular review sessions with Supervising Producer, examining feedback, wrap reports, and analytics to understand how they affect series performance and shape future creative
Regularly develop and produce new pilots and creative properties (including brand deals), either original pitches of your own or advancing development on those provided by the Creative dept
Collaborate with the Production Manager to review your assignments, satisfy deadlines and key milestones, and track progress ongoing
Prepare for and attend regular team, department, and company meetings as necessary
Maintaining department documentation and communicating changes to all relevant team members
Additional Duties:
Research, monitor, and be at the forefront of digital trends for potential creative
Prepare and write scripts, including fact research and verification
Work with the production and talent teams to minimize episode costs by utilizing existing talent scheduled in other shoots
Keep current on all content released within the company, especially those released on the same channels as your teams
Liaise communication across all departments as it relates to your assigned series
Build and develop relationships with our audience, vendors, and our digital community at large
Anticipate and proactively resolve any production issues as they arise and work with management to find long-term solutions to ongoing problems
Work with graphics department to build and approve all assets (thumbnails, frames, facts, etc.), including social media assets
Ensure execution of client, agency, and company goals on all assigned brand deals
Identify and address errors, redundancies, or topical issues within our content
Provide support and coverage to fellow Producers as needed
Proactively anticipate potential issues with episodes releasing on holidays or weekends, and provide coverage details/requests as part of RFU
Provide promotional assets for their episodes as needed, including clip cut downs, GIFs, deleted scenes, copywriting, etc.
Maintain open and honest communication with all team members, raising concerns or flags as they arise (ie. shoot issues, content concerns, availability conflicts, approaching deadlines, etc.)
Ensure all productions stay within the approved episode budget, including tangible costs (ie. props, talent) and resource costs (ie. people's time, studio time, equipment use, storage, etc)
Checking and approving camera and lighting setups/framing during your shoots
Requirements:
Experience & interest in creating digital content is a must (2+ years producing/writing/directing, preferably in unscripted or commentary style content)
A positive leader who exemplifies a passion for their work always strives for improvement and instills those same feelings in the production teams they lead
Able & willing to keep up with the demands of a fast-moving creative environment and adapt quickly to evolving processes and workflows
Knowledge of social platforms (YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Reddit, Twitch, Discord etc.) and what variables can affect a video's performance
Strong awareness of YouTube & internet culture, memes, vernacular, pop culture etc.
An intuition for creating compelling and entertaining content, with an ability to identify the ingredients that make a hit show
Excellent communication, organization, time management, and problem-solving skills
Proactive, independent, and maintains a tenacious work ethic
Flexibility in schedule and willing to work nights/weekends when necessary
Strong administrative skills and familiarity with all G Suite Applications
Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring all deadlines are met appropriately
Knowledge of video games and systems, including PlayStation, Xbox, PC, VR is a plus
