Manager, Global Acquisitions
FilmRise is looking to hire a dedicated Manager of Global Acquisitions, with 2+ years of experience in a similar role. The person in this role will act as the primary point of contact for the company's acquisition of catalog titles and will report directly to the Head of Acquisitions. Domestic and some international travel to content markets and for other acquisitions related business is required.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Develop licensing opportunities associated with incoming TV and Film catalogs; identify new licensing partners and lead research, negotiation and execution of contracts
• Conduct internal analyses and forecasting for prospective acquisitions
• Establish and maintain relationships with production companies, licensing/sales agents, consultants, key stakeholders and attorneys
• Track, research, and correspond with law firms, banks, lenders, distributors and production companies with respect to licensing and purchasing opportunities of film and television assets
• Maintain an organized record of incoming catalog titles, as well as outgoing offers and counteroffers
• Work closely with Head of Acquisitions and Business Affairs team to conduct occasionally vigorous due diligence processes
• Coordinate internally with distribution, finance, and sales departments concerning recent acquisitions and current deals; maintain open and clear communication with all internal departments
Required Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelor's Degree
• Minimum 2 years of experience in film or TV acquisitions/sales/distribution
• Strong understanding of how licensing deals are identified and negotiated
• Knowledge of film and market trends
• Excellent communication and organization skills
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work under pressure/strict deadlines
• Adept at establishing and maintaining relationships internally and externally
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
