Film Marketing Intern
DESCRIPTION:
Film for Thought Inc. is a boutique independent film production company based in downtown Los Angeles. We focus on producing documentary films and released the critically acclaimed HOOD TO COAST in January 2011, and currently have a few projects in the works.
This is a great opportunity for students to learn about every aspect of film-making, with special emphasis on film marketing and distribution. Help with research, coordinate schedules, calls to sponsors and help organize sponsorship events, help organize screenings, and learn audience engagement strategy. We're looking for the intern to start immediately and work through the Summer.
*Must be able to provide your own transportation.
*Compensation: unpaid, but will reimburse for parking/transportation expenses, and provide lunch as needed
*16-20 hours per week
QUALIFICATIONS:
-Diligent problem solving skills
-Ability to handle multiple immediate tasks while paying close attention to detail
-Ability to work as a member of a team and to carry out assignments independently
-Strong communications skills on phone and through email
-Technical skills - IT, Apple & PC computers, Google Analytics, interest in learning social online marketing tools
-Experience using editing programs or the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) a plus
