This is a three month temporary runner position that will be served at both of our North Hollywood locations, Clear Lake Recording and Fever Recording. We are a high-end recording studio that hosts celebrity clientele. Shifts are 8 hours and scheduling is flexible. If you do not meet these qualifications or only work with vocals and are primarily ''in the box'', do not apply.
Duties:
- Support engineering staff with session setup of recording sessions by handling microphones, patch bays, outboard gear, Pro Tools, and large format analogue consoles
- Keeping the facility stocked, clean, organized, and functional
- Assisting with client services: check-in, general questions, client riders and food orders, client tech setup requests, and the flow of session guests
- General tech, office, and maintenance assistance as needed
- Assist with incoming studio calls, handle client payment in Quickbooks, and complete documentation relevant to the runner position, like reports and gear recall documentation
- Independently tear down a session and properly shut down the facility for late night sessions
- Complete runs as needed: stock runs, gear & maintenance runs, and client food runs
Requirements:
- Must have one year of experience running or assisting at a high-end recording studio that hosts high profile clientele
- Must know signal flow with large format analogue consoles and outboard gear
- Must be knowledgable in mic placement
- Must be a graduate from an audio engineer, music production, post production, or music business program.
- Must have a car, proof of car insurance, and valid driver's license.
- Must be proficient in Pro Tools.
- Must know studio etiquette and professionalism. Not speaking to clients unless you are spoken to. Not pitching your songs to clientele.
- Must be able to commit at least 32 hours per week
- Must be able to work overnight and weekends
- Must be able to maintain a safe, clean, and positive studio environment

- One-on-one trainings and regular workshops with our engineers on analogue boards, outboard gear, and Pro Tools
