Fairchild Media, publisher of WWD, Beauty Inc, Footwear News, and Sourcing Journal, is hiring a style commerce editor to support affiliate marketing content creation across Beauty Inc, WWD and FN’s sites. The ideal candidate should consider themselves to be a creative and ambitious self-starter with a strong passion for fashion and lifestyle products, as well as researching the latest shopping trends. In addition to monitoring data analytics to optimize commerce content and inspire new commerce franchise ideas, this person will also assist the commerce team with the CMS production of stories written by freelance writers. This role reports to the director of commerce and can be based in California or New York.
Responsibilities:
• Write and update product buying guides, product reviews, and deals stories on a weekly basis.
• Edit and produce commerce stories written by freelancers
• Identify and track the latest product releases and deals from top merchants and preferred retailers.
• Interview credible expert sources in the fashion and lifestyle space to add quality service tips to commerce content.
• Collaborate with the commerce team and other editorial staff to execute ambitious revenue-generating content.
• Assist in monitoring and fulfilling traffic and affiliate goals while identifying new growth opportunities for Fairchild Media Group.
Requirements:
• A minimum of 2 years professional writing experience for a digital media brand or publisher.
• Must be a clean, fast writer that's highly organized and pays strong attention to detail.
• The ability to multitask multiple projects with a team-player attitude.
• A strong desire to dive deep into data analytics for strategic content optimization.
• Great enthusiasm for fashion and lifestyle product testing.
• Have some understanding of affiliate marketing.
