Fairchild: Events Manager
Fairchild Live, the events arm of Fairchild Media Group under Penske Media Corporation (PMC), is looking for an Event Manager to join its high-energy, fast-growing team. In this role, you’ll help bring to life high-profile regional and international events attended by industry leaders, creatives, and executives. As the day-to-day project lead, the Event Manager will lead and execute events from start to finish while collaborating closely with editorial, sales, and marketing teams to deliver standout experiences that meet brand and business goals. This is an ideal opportunity for someone passionate about fashion and beauty, energized by live events, and excited by global travel.
As PMC values in-person collaboration and team cohesion, employees work onsite 4 days a week and 1 day remotely with a focus on maintaining a vibrant and inclusive culture.
Key Responsibilities
Event Execution & Project Management
• Serve as the day-to-day event lead on assigned programs, managing the full event lifecycle from initial planning through on-site execution and post-event wrap.
• Build and manage detailed event timelines, run-of-show documents, and production schedules to ensure seamless execution.
• Coordinate deliverables across creative, editorial, marketing, sales, and events teams to keep all stakeholders aligned.
• Lead on-site operations including load-in, live event execution, and breakdown.
• Manage speaker and talent logistics in partnership with editorial and programming teams, including green room management, on-site coordination, and travel planning when applicable.
Venue & Vendor Coordination
• Research, recommend, and secure venues/platforms that fit budget and audience needs.
• Own day-to-day vendor and venue communication, including sourcing, contract support, negotiations, and ongoing relationship management.
• Oversee venue and platform selection end-to-end, from research and recommendations through budget alignment and contract execution.
Creative & Branding Support
• Own the execution and interpretation of established brand guidelines across signage and event look and feel.
• Development of look-and-feel decks and activation presentations, translating approved branding into compelling, execution-ready event concepts.
• Oversee the full event design expression, including florals, staging, and sponsor activations, ensuring cohesive on-brand delivery across all environments and touchpoints.
Financial & Tracking
• Own event financial tracking, including vendor quotes, expenses, and invoicing.
• Lead event reconciliations and budget reporting, ensuring accuracy and clear visibility.
Post-Event
• Assist with event recaps, reporting, and team debriefs to capture learnings and improve future activations.
• Ensure events deliver against defined business, brand, and audience goals.
Required Experience
• 3–5 years of event management experience.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
• Hands-on experience with vendor coordination and client-facing roles.
• Strong understanding of event logistics and budget tracking.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams; exposure to sponsorship execution a plus
Skills & Competencies
• Comfortable with a roll-up-your-sleeves mindset. We move boxes, pack, and jump in with vendors to get the job done!
• Creative eye and attention to detail, with experience in designing event experiences.
• Calm, positive, and adaptable, in fast-paced, live event environments.
• Vendor-facing experience with a desire to grow negotiation and coordination skills.
At PMC, we believe working in a highly collaborative, office-first environment fosters real-time communication, spontaneous idea sharing, and stronger interpersonal relationships that drive innovation and team cohesion. PMC prioritizes in-person collaboration and does not offer remote-only roles.
