Role Description:
The Marketing Content & Social Media candidate will work with senior management to assist with the development and execution of content for our social media channels and will work with the stakeholders to develop strategies and content for our website, blog, partner channels and email newsletter.
We're looking for a sharp and detail-oriented candidate to help us push our brand further with well-executed social content and marketing communications. Our ideal candidate will have strong written and communication skills with the ability to write in the ''voice'' of a well-established brand, attention to detail, impeccable follow up skills, the ability to follow direction, and have a genuine interest in music. This position requires a creative mind, the ability to be flexible in response to the constantly evolving world of social media and digital media and willingness to do hands-on work.
What you will do:
•Coordinate the implementation of a master content marketing, PR and social media plan as developed by management
•Draft and implement approved communications to align with marketing strategies
•Write, plan, and publish engaging social media and marketing posts for our U.S. and worldwide audiences
•Engage with social audiences on a consistent basis using and adhering to the approved messaging
•Work alongside management and third party digital marketing agency to facilitate outbound digital campaign creation including email newsletters and ads
•Maintain multi-channel content calendar and corresponding content assets (social, website, blogs, newsletters)
•Circulate weekly reports and monitor online reviews and feedback
•Coordinate the production of photo and video content shoots
•Coordinate with marketing team to ensure brand consistency
•Liaise with Marketing and Sales departments to stay updated on new strategies
•Build relationships with clients, prospects, influencers, industry professionals
•Stay up-to-date with digital and social media trends
•Coordinate and execute the production of approved company newsletters, email announcements, planned publications
•Assist with special projects and assignments
Education & Experience:
•Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or related fields preferred
•1-3 years of experience writing blogs, creating custom content and/or social media strategy and content
•An understanding of web, SEO, social media, video and direct marketing channels
•Proficiency with Mac/iOS, WordPress, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Office
•Experience with HTML/CSS and website analytics using a variety of tools such as Google Analytics and Facebook Insights
•Strong understanding or experience working with content management systems
•Preferred experience in B2B marketing and social media, working with media or entertainment companies
•Experience sourcing and managing content development and publishing
Qualifications:
•Hands-on experience with communications and social media for brands
•Proven experience driving community engagement
•Ability to identify and track relevant community metrics
•Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
•Honed curatorial abilities and an eye for the Extreme Music brand
•Outstanding organization and time management
•Knowledge of online marketing and marketing channels
•Attention to detail and ability to multitask
•Passionate about Music
•Self-motivated and enthusiastic
