Programming Assistant
Position Summary:
We are Dallas's KZZA 106.7fm (La Ranchera), KBOC 98.3 fm (Luna), KNOR 93.7 fm (La Raza), based in the #4 Hispanic demographic market, looking for Programming Assistant. The Programming Assistant provides support to the Programming Direction and Disc Jockey for all radio stations.
Responsibilities:
• Assist the Program Director in every aspect of the programming department including scheduling and production.
• Oversee daily operations/music scheduling/talent requirements of the station
• Team with the Program Director in maintaining relationships with local cultural organizations and cultivating new ones.
• Knowledge on planning massive music events.
• Work with Program Director and Digital Media Department in planning and implementing on-going multi-platform social media initiatives.
• Maintain station music libraries
• Oversee promotional schedule for Radio and TV
• Scheduling of on-air talent, Board Operators and managing vacation coverage.
• Create Programming logs.
• Coordinate on-air and off-air promotional activities, including on-air staff appearances. Seek out new promotional opportunities and community partnerships.
• Ensure compliance with all regulations and protect FCC license
• Administration duties as required.
• Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned
Requirements:
• Minimum of 2 Years previous programming Experience
• Bilingual: English/Spanish is a must
• Knowledge of MS Office products: MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Availability to interpret traffic scripts.
• Experience working in a communication/public relations environment; radio or TV broadcast setting is highly desirable but not required.
• Excellent written, verbal, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a high pressured, fast paced environment with tight deadlines.
• Attention to detail, organized and thorough, with desire for continuous improvement.
• Team player with a positive attitude and focus on business issues.
Eligibility Requirements:
• Must be willing to work in Dallas, TX.
• Must be willing to undergo a pre-employment background investigation
• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States
• Must be 18 years or older
