Job Summary:
We Are…
ESPN Programming is a division of ESPN, Inc., which negotiates, coordinates event scheduling and initiatives, as well as maintains relationships with our professional league and collegiate partners, for rights both domestically and internationally in addition to overseeing businesses such as College Networks (SEC Network, ACC Network, Longhorn Network), ESPN Deportes, X Games, and Owned Events.
Responsibilities:
A Day in the Life…
As the summer intern, you will work on projects involving different departments (programming, research, digital, marketing, and advertising sales).
You will be involved in the development of business strategies to help ESPN expand its audience in the United States across all business platforms (television, audio, digital, and social media).
You will work with, report, and present your findings to top management.
Basic Qualifications:
What You Bring to the Role:
• Strong strategic/analytical, organizational, prioritization, and communication skills
• Detail-oriented self-starter with a strong interest in the television and/or sports industry and with the ability to work independently and adapt to a rapidly evolving environment
Preferred Qualifications:
• Ability to analyze financial and research/audience data
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong communication skills in English and Spanish
Required Education
• Enrolled in an MBA graduate studies program in the semester prior to the internship
Additional Information:
Internship Eligibility:
• Must be enrolled in a college/university MBA graduate program taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program
• Must possess unrestricted work authorization
Program Dates: The length of this internship is 10 weeks, and the approximate dates are June 8 – August 14, 2020. Interns will work 40 hours per week and must be fully available throughout the internship.
Housing: This internship will be located in Bristol, Connecticut. Housing assistance is available for those who qualify.
Transportation: Must provide own transportation to/from work.
