Job Summary:
The Senior Associate Producer in the Creative Content Unit (CCU) will be tasked with the production of short-form creative content. A candidate for this position should be creative, communicative, organized and able to perform within a team structure. The candidate needs to be highly motivated with an ability to execute content under pressure, must demonstrate high-level storytelling and tease producing skills, while also properly managing their time. Experience with content decision-making, shoots/field production, post production workflows and software are also required.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for producing a wide range of content (including high-end teases, bumps, advancers, toolboxes, overall creative branding and identity) for Event & Studio broadcasts.
• Generate content ideas; conceive of, plan and execute production of this content.
• Pre-Production - Conceptualizing, pitching and storyboarding ideas, writing scripts, wardrobe, props, makeup, travel arrangements, projecting and coordinating post production needs before the shoot ie: frame rate or video conversions, audio sweetening and any other logistical needs for the preparation of a creative production project.
• Production – Participate in content creation/discussions, set design and art direction, and coordinating logistics. Must have a knowledge of camera specs, field production procedures and resources when planning a production.
• Post-Production - Coordinating technical and editorial needs during the edit. Must be fluent in modern media management for Post production workflows. This includes file formats, codecs, edit platforms, media management. Some VFX, Audio and animation knowledge would be appreciated.
• Managing & communicating with editors, graphic designers & sound designers during the course of an edit and project.
• Work with show Producers & other CCU members to determine content for coverage (features, teases and elements) over multiple platforms.
• Capable of successfully collaborating with teammates on large projects, as well as being self-motivated to work alone & steer projects when working solo.
• Capable of leading teams on sports projects & representing the team to the sport production group as well as CCU management team.
• Capable of leading meetings and maintaining spreadsheets or Google Documents for a project team.
• Ability to train & mentor APs & CAs in prepping for shoots and post production.
Basic Qualifications:
• Established ability to generate and execute creative content from concept to completion.
• Ability to show leadership, to drive content and to leverage relationships by working collaboratively with team members
• Must possess good communication skills (verbal and written).
• Organization and attention to detail required.
• Strong, broadly-based current & historical sports knowledge
Preferred Qualifications:
• A minimum of 5 years of practical TV Production experience at the large market or network level.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience producing non-linear edits, such as Avid, Adobe Premiere & Quantel, with the ability to edit rough cuts of beds for preliminary screening.
• Minimum 3 years of experience on productions using digital cine-cameras, which include, but not limited to: Canon 5D, Canon C300, Sony F5/F55, RED Epic or higher, or Arri Alexa.
• Candidates must have good computer background (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) & knowledge of editing software
• Candidates must have experience with field producing &/or coordinating creative shoots & interviews.
Required Education
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Education
• Bachelor's Degree.
