Job Summary:
The Senior Analyst will report, track, and provide analysis of ESPN's TV and Digital audiences, with a focus on Hispanic, multicultural, female, and youth audiences. This role will also include Primary research, including collecting data quantitatively through surveys and managing ESPN Deportes' fan panel. The Senior Analyst will be naturally curious, proactive, and detail-oriented, with the ability to handle multiple tasks at once. The individual will have experience with media research, ideally with a background in Hispanic research.
Responsibilities:
• Track and report on performance of ESPN properties across various audience segments, including Hispanic, multicultural, women and youth
• Provide analysis on television ratings and digital usage trends for ESPN platforms and the competition to assist with programming, production, sales and strategic planning efforts for the company
• Provide analysis from on-going and custom survey studies that measure fandom and attitudes regarding ESPN and ESPN Deportes content
• Work on a variety of custom projects with guidance and supervision
• Stays actively aware of ESPN and competitive programming. Keeps abreast of general media trends.
Basic Qualifications:
• 1-year experience in media research. Basic working knowledge of Nielsen research tools and comScore.
• Knowledge of media math concepts and data analysis.
• Must be proficient in Windows-based PC applications such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Needs excellent writing skills, ability to handle multiple tasks, and display strong attention to details. Must have basic mathematical ability, and experience with quantitative analysis.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Familiar with Adobe Analytics
• Experience with software like SPSS and Tableau.
• Proficiency in Spanish preferred
Required Education
• Bachelor's degree
Preferred Education
• College degree in communications, marketing, psychology, or related field preferred.
