Job Summary:
Under the leadership of the Manager this position will work with the Multimedia Sponsorship Integration unit and be accountable for tracking and communicating accuracy of in-content sales and promotion obligations. The Coordinator will be responsible for working with multiple cross-departmental teams including Content, Sales and Marketing to ensure understanding of execution details and communicate discrepancies. The Coordinator will also be expected to take on special projects around programming and business initiatives.
The goal of the position on the Multimedia Sponsorship Integration side is to provide accountability in order to avoid significant client make-goods as well as provide reports to senior leadership, identify trends and communicate discrepancies to the Manager.
Responsibilities:
Sponsorship & Promotion Tracking
• Responsible for screening sales and promotion integrations in Studio and Event Programming.
• Responsible for distributing final show reports to applicable content, sales and marketing leads.
• Track season long sales features and communicate progress to sales and production.
• Compile Monthly Sales and Promotion report and distribute to senior leadership.
• Document, clip, and communicate executions for Marketing/Business initiatives.
• Proactively communicate with production, Sales and Marketing to understand executions and/or communicate any inaccuracies.
• Recommend ideas and opportunities for integration of Sponsorship plans to be executed across all of ESPN's TV, Digital, and Print platforms.
• Carry out special projects, which often include examining current executions or exploring new opportunities to enhance sponsorship revenue.
• Build relationships with Multimedia Sponsorship Integration team and their counterparts in Production, Digital, Sales/Marketing (Directors, Associate Director, Managers & Coordinators)
Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum of 1 year of industry experience.
• Possesses a high level of organizational and communication skills; both written and oral.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Basic knowledge of ESPN's TV, Digital, and Print platforms.
• Computer skills including Excel and Word.
• Analytical / troubleshooting skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Basic understanding of production of TV content.
• Solid overall knowledge of sports.
• Basic understanding of the competitive industry landscape and current competitive needs.
• Basic knowledge of trends in sports media and emerging methods of content delivery.
• Ability to think creatively and propose new sponsorship and/or promotional opportunities.
• Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams.
Required Education
• Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree.
