Job Summary:
Acts as organizational development partner and advisor to HR and business leaders. This position will be responsible for analyzing, diagnosing, designing, developing, project managing and delivering organization development initiatives and services. Specifically this position will provide strategic and tactical OD consulting support in the areas of organizational design, employee survey administration and action plans, 360 feedback, change management, coaching, group facilitation and process redesign in order to help leadership achieve strategic and business objectives. In addition, this position would support delivery of selected learning programs for company employees.
Responsibilities:
• Provides strategic and tactical expertise in development and management of HR OD efforts in close collaboration with HRBPs, other HR centers of excellence and business clients. Uses influence and negotiation to reach agreement and ownership regarding both strategic direction and implementation. Resolves issues and ensures timely and quality completion.
• Consults with HRBPs, other HR centers of excellence and business clients on performance, organizational, and leadership matters. Provides a broad range of consultative services including but not limited to organizational design, employee survey administration and action plans, 360 feedback, change management, coaching engagement coordination, group facilitation and process redesign.
• Facilitates cross-functional teams through diagnosis/situation analysis, problem solving, decision-making and communication planning.
• Conducts assessments to determine measures required to improve overall department or company performance and effectiveness.
• Consults with the HR leadership and business leadership to understand strategic HR needs and deliver quality solutions.
• Manages tactical aspects of OD function in support of OD Leadership.
• Supports development/update of HR training programs and course content to align with L&OD Strategy and support ESPN's business goals.
• Supports facilitation of selected courses and intact team solutions at all ESPN locations.
Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum 5 years of experience in an organization, including minimum 3 years in a Learning/Training/HR/OD role.
• Excellent influencing and interpersonal skills with people at all levels, internally and externally.
• Demonstrated consulting skills, including the ability to engage, conduct diagnosis, analyze findings, generate options and build commitment to solutions.
• Exceptional project management & problem solving skills; ability to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously
• Ability to collaborate with others in a fast-paced work environment, while demonstrating flexibility and attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to design & facilitate sessions for large groups of employees at all levels of the organization on a variety of professional development content areas.
• Must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication, as well as strong presentation skills with a variety of audiences.
• Experience conducting organizational analyses and redesign efforts in a highly matrixed environment
• Ability to travel as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
• Internal Consulting certification (e.g. Flawless Consulting)
• 360 Feedback certification
