Job Summary:
The Manager of Affiliate Marketing, reporting to the Director of Marketing, is responsible for helping drive the growth and development of respective networks within the Disney and ESPN Media Distribution portfolio including ABC, Disney, ESPN, Freeform, FX, and Nat Geo programming networks. This role serves as a key player in the development and execution of affiliate partner creative and campaigns across the ESPN family of networks, with a key focus on broadening and driving customer acquisition and retention, brand awareness, and demand among fan and partner touchpoints. This role is responsible for leading affiliate marketing campaign execution with cross-functional teams to deliver strong, cohesive, seamless brand messaging for use across our partner's customer communication channels, as well as helping to develop specific partner opportunities to drive our business.
The Manager of Affiliate Marketing is a brand marketing leader with a track record of driving interest, viewing and engagement. You will bring a strong track record of building brand and partner campaigns that resonate, layering in innovative approaches, and ultimately delivering campaigns that drive our business forward. You will have the right balance between strategic acumen, digital, media and social expertise, as well as campaign management skills to deliver on time and across KPIs. You will be able to draw insights from data to optimize strategies and translate into action plans.
Responsibilities:
• Partner with the Director of Affiliate Marketing to define overall network and sport strategy, positioning, and marketing plan for respective networks and sports.
• Identify and communicate relevant network and sport KPIs and opportunities across the Media Distribution team to help align and advance business goals.
• Partner with the creative/consumer teams to develop network and sport assets for partner use; manage deliverables from briefing through execution.
• Manage relationships with cross-functional teams to plan and execute campaigns; coordinating closely with key business partners including: sports marketing, fan relationship management, programming, legal and PR to make sure campaigns fit with overall brand initiatives and communications timelines.
• Ensure all marketing assets and creative (for respective networks and sports) are communicated and made available within set timeframe.
• Oversight of budget and cost management.
• Manage the Marketing Coordinator.
• Contribute to an environment that challenges and rewards by cultivating teamwork, creativity, innovation and career growth.
Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5 years of marketing experience within the media and entertainment industry with a track record of executing compelling brand campaigns.
• Minimum of 1 year of people management experience.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.
• Ability to quickly consume large amounts of data and draw insights that drive the business forward.
• High integrity and experience working with cross-functional teams and third party agencies.
• Budget management experience.
• A sincere love for media and entertainment industry and a desire to grow the business with respect to our goals and objectives.
• Willingness to travel to NY on a monthly basis.
• Strategic thinker with strong strategic planning and project management skills; ability to handle multiple time-sensitive projects simultaneously.
• Highly collaborative, highly organized, self-starter able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Initiative to take charge of tasks, anticipate next steps and keep projects moving forward.
• Superb verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
