Job Summary:
ESPN CreativeWorks is looking for Director of Digital Development & Innovation, to define the Direct-to-consumer and promotional product road for ESPN digital properties product catalog with the overarching goal of providing an excellent user experience and value. This position will also be charged with ensuring high quality standards and delivering innovative solutions across all platforms. To establish direction, sometimes design and implementation of web banners, emails, social media graphics, and other digital media. Some light web development may also be requested. Position works closely with members of ESPN Sales, Fan Marketing, External clients, Sponsors and all members of CreativeWorks, including project managers, designers, writers, producers and creative directors.
Responsibilities:
• Lead Development Team to create efficient, effective and innovative consumer journeys.
• Integrate broad knowledge of product concepts in (video, mobile, tablet) to develop viewpoints that inform internal development and external execution.
• Translate business strategies into product concepts, prototypes, and pilots that engage our customers and provide value in a competitive landscape.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in communications or related field
• Minimum eight (8) years of product development and project management experience
• At least three (3) years experience with various product types, including: web sites, mobile app,
• ecommerce and social development and design
• Proficient expertise of web development technologies
• Demonstrated experience and drive for superior results and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Strong programming knowledge, including HTML, HTML5, CSS, Javascript, jQuery, JSON, etc.

• Excellent thought leadership, strategic, analytical and forward-planning skills
• Highly collaborative team player with talent for influencing large or small, cross-functional teams.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills
• Ability to self-start, self-manage, and meet deadlines
• Possess a passion for digital media, entertainment industries and sports
• Ability to partner with other departments (Business Development, Sales, Technical)
• to complete projects on time.
• Be creative and innovate, with the ability to incorporate best practices and develop new concepts.
• Enjoy a fast-paced environment that provides regular challenges.
• A dynamic leader who will rally the team and get stuff done in a highly collaborative manner.
• Understanding of the ESPN brand and a passion for sports.
Required Education
• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Preferred Education
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience.
• Master's degree (2 years) Computer Science/Coding/UX/UI
