Job Summary:
ESPN CreativeWorks is seeking a CG Generalist, Innovation and Amplification responsible for the ideation, creation, development and deployment of ESPN Ad Partner and Brand Marketing. This position collaborates with in-house technology and creative teams, production, clients, and brand teams to develop innovative ways to compliment and amplify all creative assets across our business. This position requires individuals who possess strong conceptualization skills, in depth knowledge of how to execute in studio and remote environments, the ability to offer unique creative solutions, push their creativity and software skills to higher levels using new technology, and actively communicate on all phases of a project to maintain the quality of on-air product. The position reports directly to the CreativeWorks Associate Director Innovation and Amplification.
Responsibilities:
• Proactively collaborates works as a liaison within CreativeWorks, Advance Technology and Creative Services groups along with external stakeholders to contribute on longer-term initiatives.
• Helps establish a high level creative direction into consistently set the bar on quality, innovation, and creative solutions.
• Works with management on budgeting and forecasting on project priorities, schedules, cost, vendor integration, and personnel.
• Provide timely communication with regards to requirements interpretation and feedback, as well as project status, decisions, and action items.
• Conceptualize and be a strong creative voice in next generation ideas for Brand and Ad Partnership teams in partnership with technology group.
• Maintain a positive and supportive work environment
• Attend concept, production and VFX meetings
• Work with management on provide weekly status reports
• When applicable, may provide on-set support during live production shoots
• Builds assets optimized for virtual and real-time pipelines
Basic Qualifications:
• Ability to execute a broad range of VFX tasks including modeling, animation, texturing, look development, compositing and lighting.
• Strong knowledge of the Adobe suite, Maya, C4D or equivalent CG package.
• Minimum of 6 years CG asset creation for commercial, movie or games.
• Online portfolio/demo reel showcasing your creativity, design and past work
• Strong individual and team communication skills with the ability to take direction well.
• Must keep up to date with new trends with consumer, broadcast and new technologies/products.
• Experience with game engine/real-time renderers, development and workflows a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrates a sense of production pacing to maintain schedules and able to create a vision of the big picture while meeting objectives
• Must be highly motivated, work well under pressure, and able to effectively prioritize multiple assignments.
• Display a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to travel, work flexible hours (days of the week, nights, weekends and holidays) as assignments or training necessitate.
Required Education
• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent professional experience.
