Job Summary:
The Digital Account Executive is responsible for selling ESPN.com (mobile/web), ESPN App, programmatic and all of ESPN's social platforms.
Responsibilities:
• Sell multiplatform advertising campaigns to clients in an assigned territory/account list
• Achieve maximum revenue potential across all mediums
• Be proficient and knowledgeable in all ESPN platforms and sales offerings
• Maintain and grow current revenues from existing clients by adding new ESPN platforms into their media mix
• Proactively drive new business by prospecting and researching new accounts
• Identify and cultivate relationships with senior level personnel who make or influence advertising purchasing decisions
• Performs necessary analysis and planning to assure that the objectives and priorities for each sales call are established and met in time frames acceptable to the client
• Develop strategy for sales presentations to clients and potential clients
• Addresses or participates in addressing clients' concerns, questions and objections; works to close sales with each targeted client
• Participates in negotiating pricing and advertising placement and content
• Keeps sales management apprised of progress toward established revenue goals and of the progress in closing identified prospects
• Stewards proposals, deals and post-deal analyses
• Coordinates with one or more Sales Associates (ASR's, Planner, ASE) who administer accounts on a day-to-day basis.
• Keep current with industry trends and client business news
• Utilize research to assess what ESPN solutions will work best for the specific client need
Basic Qualifications:
• A minimum of 5 years of digital sales and/or marketing experience
• Proficient sales and/or marketing experience in digital/mobile, and programmatic advertising
• Existing relationships with local agency / client contacts
• Proven track record in media sales or agency/client side marketing
• Proven background in developing, closing and maintaining strategic advertising accounts and events deals
Preferred Qualifications:
• Has a good understanding of the value proposition of ESPN
• Ability to develop deals that attract and keep customers while generating targeted revenue
Required Education
• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Bachelor's Degree
