Account Executive
Position Location: Burbank, CA (currently remote)
Position Profile
Epic Strategies is seeking an Account Executive for its long-standing client, the global home entertainment division of a major motion picture studio. This position is currently operating on-site at the Client's office in Burbank, CA (NOTE: this position is currently operating remotely and will do so indefinitely until Client's offices open back up).
The Account Executive is responsible for the execution of various components of the marketing and promotional campaigns on behalf of the client. The AE is also responsible for working on and establishing cross-divisional opportunities to ensure that all initiatives are executed flawlessly in accordance with established process and timelines, documenting processes, tracking schedules, following up on deliverables due, monitoring daily status, generating reports, compiling information from partner agencies and spearheading general administrative duties.
The AE serves as a liaison with key partners (i.e. other client departments, external promotional partners, vendors, agencies, etc.), to coordinate assets and ensure that all materials have been properly vetted and approved for distribution. documenting processes, tracking schedules, following up on deliverables due, monitoring daily status, generating reports, compiling information from partner agencies and spearheading general administrative duties.
The individual who excels in this position is a champion of the client's business, is service and detail-oriented and adept at managing multiple tasks at the same time amidst constantly shifting priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management:
Performs as ''right hand'' to client's promotions department
Executes promotion initiatives for assigned home entertainment releases; manages and supervises proper delivery of promotional campaigns in alignment with client's goals and objectives.
Creates and enforces production schedules, acting as main point of contact for cross promotions.
Understands client's expectations and restrictions and effectively guides partner/vendor creative materials to reflect brand guidelines.
Reviews, routes, tracks, and edits all promotional assets and creative materials for internal/external approvals.
Prepares folders with documents and creative materials required for client approvals.
Oversees print, radio, online and partner contest/sweepstakes and code sales promotions for assigned titles.
Creates and logs cross promotional contracts for mutual approval, ensures each party delivers on, and adheres to, agreed tactics.
Builds and updates promotion plans for titles leading up to their release.
Acts as key contact to facilitate cross-departmental needs.
Conducts and participates in external/internal meetings and client conference calls as needed.
Maintains daily status report of all promotional activity related to assigned titles for distribution to clients.
Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail and proofreading ability.
Performs administrative tasks as requested by clients.
Client Relations:
Strong client services orientation with focus on building client trust and support with demonstrated skills in project management and follow-through:
o Listen to clients; manage their requests and translate client needs into tangible solutions.
o Communicate clearly and concisely to clients in all written and verbal communications.
o Maintain awareness of client activities on active projects to provide insights and/or backup as needed.
o Be prepared to respond quickly and decisively to client inquiries surrounding a pertinent title and/or project.
Strategy & Communications:
Thinks critically about projects and how they 'fit' into the bigger picture of the client's business.
Exhibits consistently strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills - able to communicate effectively with clients, agency team, outside partners and vendors
Exercises cultural awareness within the office and while working with clients
Requirements:
Local Candidates Only: Preferably residing within 25 miles of Burbank, CA
Previous Experience: Up to 5 years of marketing experience with emphasis in promotions (preferred), including at least 3 years within an agency environment; passion and previous experience in consumer products and/or entertainment-related fields are ideal.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to communicate proactively and effectively with clients, account management team and 3rd party partners/vendors.
Technical Expertise: Experience working in a fast-paced environment. Computer Savvy with expertise in Excel, Adobe and MS Office programs including Word and PowerPoint. Knowledge of MS Project, Google docs, Office 365 a plus.
Project Management Skills: Time management, multi-tasking and organization skills and strong follow-through. Willingness to roll up sleeves and jump in when needed.
Organization skills and Detail Orientation: Must exhibit ability to manage, maintain and maneuver multiple projects simultaneously.
Accountability: Takes full responsibility for all assigned tasks, client partnerships and for overall success of account.
Education: 4-year college degree required (Marketing/communications emphasis preferred).
Compensation: competitive and commensurate with experience.
