EW.com seeks a digital video coordinator and optimizer who will be responsible for distributing video content on a daily basis. You will help keep records of all completed video content - from original shoots to quick news hits - and ensure it reaches users by embedding video in top-performing articles, and circulating lists of published content. You'll be an important liaison between producers and editorial staff, and you'll play a pivotal role in making sure our video programming is seen far and wide.
The ideal candidate is organized, results-driven and a pop culture enthusiast. You'll be constantly monitoring the site for new opportunities for video placement, which means you'll need an awareness of entertainment (specifically within television, movies, and music) and the judgment to synergistically combine related content. Light editing skills would be a bonus.
This is a freelance, entry-level position on a PM shift (2-10) based in New York City or potentially in LA. Salary will be based on experience level.
