Part Time Job
We are looking for a high-energy, solid news anchor who can write and has strong news judgement. Must be conversational and a creative story teller who can develop major local and statewide stories and pursue newsmakers to enhance coverage of the station's award-winning news brand. This person should also be active on social media. This anchor position involves both Saturday and Sunday shifts.
Qualifications:
Must have a commanding on-air presence. Must be able to excel in breaking news coverage while maintaining a strong journalistic background, an excellent broadcast voice and delivery. Must be able to work with experienced team to update copy and take complex information and make it easy to understand. Expertise in digital audio production and computerized newsroom systems is preferred. Previous experience as an anchor and/or reporter in a news department is required. Must have valid driver's license and insurance.
