106.7 The Fan Programming Internship (DC)
The Entercom Internship is designed for students interested in careers in radio broadcasting. The objective is to provide students (Undergraduate and Graduate) with hands-on real world experience in the industry. Students will gain knowledge and experience in a variety of radio broadcast functions.
Students will gain practical experience in on-air creation and contesting, social media, public relations, sales, and major event production. Under production and programming, students will gain experience in basic commercial production/editing, copywriting, voice work, video content, market research, public relations, and in-studio participation.
Entercom Washington, D.C. offers an opportunity for students to apply classroom theory to practical experience. Interns can test their creative talent, exercise their analytical skills, and increase their understanding of broadcasting operations and trends. Internships will be required to participate 9-12 hours per week for a period of 15 weeks (8 weeks for summer program), with specific days and times agreed upon in advance.
Qualifications:
Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college/university for participation.
Major in communications or broadcast journalism a plus.
Students with a passion for sports broadcasting preferred.
