Intern - Radio Promotions

This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship

EMI Music North America is looking for enthusiastic, motivated interns for our Fall 2012 (September-December) Internship Program.

INTERNSHIP: Radio Promotions Intern

SALARY: Unpaid (for college credit only)

PURPOSE: To expose college student to hands on work experience in their field of Radio Promotions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Research station websites to monitor our artists' online presence.
• Maintaining CD and promotional product supplies.
• Helping with guests and special events when needed.
• Light coverage of phones when necessary.
• Assist with mailings and CD burns to send to radio.

PAST RADIO PROMOTION INTERNS HAVE HAD EXPERIENCE IN:
• learning each position within the department and do related tasks/projects
• gaining hands on experience and confidence that prepares them for a career post-graduation

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• Strong computer skills including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point.
• Interest in pursuing a career in Promotions
• Must be an undergraduate student enrolled in an accredited college and be receiving academic credit for an internship.
• Internships require a commitment of at least 16 hours per week for a minimum of 12 weeks.
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, writing and organizational skills required.
• Must be pro-active, detailed oriented, and possess good follow-through while adhering to deadlines.
• Must be able to multi-task and prioritize tasks sufficiently while working independently.
• Strong interest in the music industry preferred.
• Strong organizational skills are preferred.
• Candidate must be reliable and have good time management skills.
