This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship
EMI Music North America is looking for enthusiastic, motivated interns for our Fall 2012 (September-December) Internship Program.
INTERNSHIP: Human Resources Intern
SALARY: Unpaid (for college credit only)
PURPOSE: To expose college student to hands on work experience in their field of HR and college recruitment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Recruiting:
• Post job descriptions internally and externally.
• Review resumes and target qualified candidates for interviews.
• Conduct new hire reference checks and school verifications.
Administrative:
• Prepare new hire packets.
• Update new hire packet forms and policies on an as needed basis.
• Prepare new hire files.
• Assist in miscellaneous filing.
• Assist in maintaining department invoices.
• Maintain employee I-9 documentation.
Benefits:
• Distribute benefit enrollment forms to benefits dept. and payroll.
• Assist with Open Enrollment
PAST HUMAN RESOURCES INTERNS HAVE HAD EXPERIENCE IN:
• Phone screened potential intern candidates and gain a comprehensive understanding of what makes someone an ideal candidate
• Gained knowledge pertaining labor laws
• A deeper understanding of what goes into recruiting candidates and the interview process itself
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• Must be an undergraduate student enrolled in an accredited college and be receiving academic credit for an internship.
• Internships require a commitment of at least 16 hours per week for a minimum of 12 weeks.
• Interest in pursuing a career in HR and/or Recruiting.
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, writing and organizational skills required.
• Strong computer skills including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point.
• Must be pro-active, detailed oriented, and possess good follow-through while adhering to deadlines.
• Must be able to multi-task and prioritize tasks sufficiently while working independently.
• Strong interest in the music industry preferred.
• Strong organizational skills are preferred.
• Candidate must be reliable and have good time management skills.
