Intern - Catalog Marketing

This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship

EMI Music North America is looking for enthusiastic, motivated interns for our Fall 2012 (September-December) Internship Program.

INTERNSHIP: Catalog Marketing Intern

SALARY: Unpaid (for college credit only)

PURPOSE: To expose college student to hands on work experience in their field of Marketing.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Collects information from radio station proposals and compiles into a full detailed report which is distribution to Catalog executives
• Keeps radio mailing list up to date with latest contact information
• Assists with online research for catalog projects - researches fitting websites to contact for reviews, contests and news postings
• Maintenance of artist social networking pages
• Assist with online marketing research for upcoming projects
• Assist PR, Sales and Marketing departments
• Light administrative duties including faxing, filing and maintaining organization with in the department.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• Interns should also be savvy with HTML coding and have strong written and verbal communications skills.
• Must be an undergraduate student enrolled in an accredited college and be receiving academic credit for an internship.
• Internships require a commitment of at least 16 hours per week for a minimum of 12 weeks.
• Interest in pursuing a career in Marketing.
• Ability to work in a team and have excellent organizational skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, writing and organizational skills required.
• Strong computer skills including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point.
• Must be pro-active, detailed oriented, and possess good follow-through while adhering to deadlines.
• Must be able to multi-task and prioritize tasks sufficiently while working independently.
• Strong interest and passion for music.
• Candidate must be reliable and have good time management skills.
