Our client, an entertainment and theme park company, is looking for a Senior Project Superintendent to oversee all stages of construction for the Project Team which includes managing and liaising between general contractors, ensure accurate design and construction with senior project manager, facility and team, coordinating activities between contractors, sub-contractors, architects, engineers and sub-consultants, show/ride vendors, and park operating departments, and facilitating inspections/approvals with authorities.
Responsibilities:
• Pre-Construction Phase: monitor development of the construction documents; assist with pre-qualification/evaluation of vendors; work with general contractors, vendors and project team for site/construction logistics; develop site lay down/access plan
• Design Phase: review all submittals from outside architects/engineers; review design documents for completion and facility status for potential issues; attend progress meetings
• Bid/Award Phase: prepare RFPs; prepare documentation for site access; respond to questions for RFP; provide final evaluation/recommendation of bids and proposals
• Construction Phase - Site Management: manage overall project site and coordinate daily activities between all parties involved in construction; coordinate with contractor to ensure tasks meet cost, safety, quality, and schedule
• Construction Phase – Quality control: ensure contractor's work reflects drawings/specifications, while ensuring environmental, occupational health and safety procedures are being followed/facilities are built dimensionally accurate
• Closeout Phase: manage punch list and close out process for facility
• Manage overall punch list and close out process for the facility
• Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
• Daily on-site supervision of the Facility Contractors, Sub-Contractors, and Show / Ride vendor interfaces
• Manage the daily, weekly, or monthly field inspections w/ the authority having jurisdiction
Requirements:
• Technical school preferred. Bachelor's degree or equivalent successive advancement in work experience is required
• Prior experience as a project superintendent with a theme park company or construction company who has done theme park work
• Minimum experience as a project superintendent: 10-15 years; or equivalent combination of education and experience
