Our client, an arts and entertainment company that creates immersive and interactive experiences, is looking for a Senior Show Systems Architect to join their team at their Santa Fe New Mexico headquarters! In this exciting role, the Senior Show Systems Architect will be a leader and responsible for overseeing the exhibition's show control and show technical architectural system. Disciplines within this architecture include lighting, audio, video, special effects, and show action equipment. The Senior Show Systems Architect will also coordinate with subject matter experts from each discipline, working to weave together all the Exhibition's communication needs and requirements into a cohesive structure.
Responsibilities
• Document and map the show system architecture among all technical disciplines including lighting, audio, video, special effects, show action equipment, and platform services.
• Bring cohesive show system structure to exhibitions and elevate the guest experience.
• Optimize the overall design and implementation with each subject matter expert.
• Review processes and the control systems of each discipline for compliance with creative delivery, operational need, and maintainability.
• Step into existing projects to support handover.
• Troubleshoot and effectively communicate procedures to teams.
• Develop and drive processes for new projects and exhibitions.
• Communicate protocols clearly and seamlessly between the different technical divisions.
Requirements
• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience as a Show System or Show Control Designer/Architect in the themed entertainment industry, or experience working for a company that provides show control products or services.
• Basic knowledge and experience with immersive group entertainment and/or art curation.
• Thorough understanding of show control systems, languages, and related equipment including Alcorn McBride, Medialon, Qsys, PLC (Beckhoff), Arduino, Teensy, Screenberry, Pandora's Box, OSC, TouchDesigner, Max/MSP, Lua, HTML5, CSS, Python, and Java.
• Solid knowledge of the different technical areas including lighting, audio, video, special effects, show action equipment, interactives, etc.
• Experience incorporating operational and maintenance considerations into solutions.
• Strong knowledge of show control systems and platforms.
• Skilled in effectively conveying information and developing protocols with different technical delivery teams.
• Open minded to a DIY culture and amenable to the ebbs and flows of the show control architecture.
• Ability to serve as a teacher for all involved teams, and adept to receiving input from each.
• In-depth knowledge of core platforms and programs such as Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and BlueBeam.
