Our client is currently looking for a Senior Engineer, Ride/Show. This role is a key technical contributor for our client's Theme Park activities. Responsibilities include specification and enforcement of company's technical requirements, acting as a technical interface to outside design and production entities, provide technical input and direction to project level risk management/risk reduction activities. Duties may include assisting with updates for Show and Ride technical specifications, show and ride systems research, patent pursuit and defense duties, contribution to show and ride systems scoping, specification, design or analysis, field assistance for installation, test and adjust, and other such tasks as defined by S/R Engineering management, and that support S/R Engineering tasks.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Guides lower level technical personnel in existing park expansion and new venue development. Oversee and validate engineering analyses, development of technical documents, and technical decision making at lower levels and assists with same for attraction technical teams.
• Contributes to company's patten pursuit and defense duties by examining research product developed in-house and by outside counsel, and via examination of disclosure information prepared in house by inventors.
• Acts as an engineering point of contact to outside suppliers of Engineered Show and Ride systems and engineering consultation.
• Acts as company's technical representative to salient codes and standards organizations.
• Maintains, modifies as required, and enforces company's specifications, standards, and technical contracting methods and assists with updates for Show and Ride technical specifications.
• Makes direct engineering contributions to projects as required. Performs Show and Ride systems research, contributions to show and ride systems scope, specification, design or analysis, field assistance for installation, test, and adjust.
• Reviews the engineering technical plans and results for company projects when directed
• Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established company's policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION: Required: Bachelor's degree from a four year college or university in Engineering, (Mechanical Preferred). Professional Engineering License preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Required: 7-10 Years experience required in engineering practice; 3-5 Years preferred in theme park related work; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
