Full Time Job
Our client, a full-service experiential marketing agency that creates meaningful brand experiences for clients such as Nike, JP Morgan, Facebook, and Instagram, has an immediate need for a Senior Copywriter. In this role, the Senior Copywriter will work across all mediums for Fortune 500 brands and will be collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams and clients.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Lead and support concepting and developing big, breakthrough ideas for experiential events and campaigns.
• Write and edit copy for multiple mediums, including manifestos, campaign taglines, messaging maps, social media, UX/UI or front-end websites, signage and activation elements, sizzle reels and scripts, OOH, print, promotional materials, and more.
• Present ideas and language in a clear, strategic, and focused way that builds consensus within the team and with external stakeholders.
• Offer clear and convincing rationale for word choice, tone of voice, and potential impact of language for all copy suggestions.
• Conduct research into brands, language, audience and more to inform and elevate all copywriting efforts.
• Understand strategic insights that ground the creative work and distinguish our campaigns from the competition.
• Work collaboratively within a cross-functional team environment with designers, strategists, creative technologists, and account production leads to create consistent, clear, on-brand copy that meets program goals and elevates concepts.
• Recognize the value that different perspectives and cultures bring to an organization and actively create an environment of safety and understanding to incorporate those different perspectives and cultures.
• Proactively push the boundaries of creative excellence while keeping an eye on delivering required results.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on copywriting experience.
• Experience in agency/in-house concepting and writing copy for global brands preferred.
• Experience in creative multicultural marketing and DEI initiatives preferred.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
• Strong conceptual thinker.
• Strong storytelling skills.
• Impeccable knowledge of English grammar, spelling, and common style guides.
• Passion for various writing styles (humorous, informational, motivating, etc.) and ability to adapt quickly and easily.
• Ability to work autonomously, with limited direction.
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt brand voices to fit different media, platforms, etc.
• Ability to juggle multiple assignments and clients.
• Willingness to experiment in new and emerging formats.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional and distributed teams: ask questions, take direction, give direction, drive things forward, catch the details, work independently and brainstorm.
• Total comfort with digital devices and online collaboration platforms such as Google Keynote, Microsoft PowerPoint, etc. with collaborative UX tools like Figma a plus.
