Project Director - Themed Entertainment

Our client, a themed entertainment design and fabrication company, is looking for a Project Director to join its team! In this role, you'll use your project management and themed entertainment design and fabrication expertise to participate in hands-on management of field operations: in addition to leading a team of Project Managers and Project Coordinators, you'll manage all RFP processes, liaise between internal and external partners to ensure development is on track and creative intent is maintained, monitor construction in the field, including but not limited to identifying, minimizing, and resolving discrepancies between other project participants to ensure quality design and construction, manage change orders, and, where possible, improve project schedules and budgets. In addition, you'll also prepare and present progress updates to senior management, perform oversight of vendor contracts, and serve as the primary point of contact between the firm and the client.
You should have:
- a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Business Management
- a minimum 7-10 years of experience working in design/engineering firms [experience with firms dealing with both entertainment design and construction management preferred!]
- proven experience handling large scale construction projects, including working with general contractors, estimating, and budgeting
- excellent communicative, leadership, & collaborative skills
