Full Time Job
Our client, a theme park and resort company, is looking for a Facilities Maintenance Supervisor to join their growing team. In this role, the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor will develop, implement, and manage policies and procedures to ensure the efficient maintenance of the park/resort, and will be responsible for daily scheduling and workload of the resort's facility maintenance team.
Responsibilities
• Supervision of maintenance personnel and hired contractors, including scheduling of employees for various job assignments, and ability to fill in when required
• Assist with appropriate maintenance for all buildings, walkways/hardscapes, fences, signage, and related utility infrastructure outside of day-to-day operating needs
• Mentor and train maintenance personnel to meet required goals and focus on their growth and advancement
• Ensure that all new construction or modification of existing property is completed in accordance with engineering blueprints, architectural drawings, and artist renderings
• Responsible for appropriate maintenance of equipment
• Ability to complete work requests, special projects, P&L reviews, development, and implementation of applicable PER's and budgets as approved
• Develop general maintenance work procedures, priorities, policies, and schedules
• Lead the maintenance team in performing efficient repair services to reduce or isolate downtime or closures
• Assist with interviewing, hiring, and training of new maintenance personnel, including a complete understanding and compliance to their safety responsibilities according to company safety programs
• Efficiently utilize resources to ensure that completion dates and budget/allocation are attained
• Maintain organized documentation of work performed and recommended maintenance
• Ability to effectively lead team meetings and communicate with senior management as needed
• Update job knowledge by participating in conferences and educational opportunities
• Follow safety standards and training guidelines associated with injury prevention measures
• Suspend operations when continuation would be inconsistent with safety standards, or when presenting a safety hazard to guests or maintenance personnel
• Establish and maintain a culture that results in a positive awareness of the importance of workplace safety
Requirements
• 5 years of experience overseeing maintenance of theme park major attractions, or similar industrial experience
• 5 years of experience in capital planning, contract/construction negotiation, and project supervision
• 5 years of supervision/leadership experience including coaching, counseling, disciplinary actions and leading through example
• Exceptional interpersonal skills (written and verbal), service oriented, and ability to communicate with internal/external customers at all levels
