Full Time Job
Our client, a theme park and resort company in Tennessee, has an immediate need for a Hospitality Director of Safety and Security to join their growing team and rapidly expanding resort. In this role, the Director of Safety and Security will be responsible for leading all safety and security aspects of their hospitality side of business, and will oversee the development and implementation of their programs.
Requirements
• At least 5 years of senior level management experience in hospitality safety and security operations (experience in resorts / themed entertainment preferred).
• Expert level knowledge of OSHA, Workers' Compensation and ADA.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in hiring, training, and supervising direct reports.
• Excellent knowledge of TN ABC/Alcohol/Serving/Storage codes and requirements.
• Experience in developing and implementing projects, documents, presentations, programs, and initiatives.
Safety Responsibilities
• Hire, train and supervise the Hospitality Safety and Security Leadership Team.
• Manage First Aid and/or Emergency Response for hosts and guests, providing initial care and response, follow up documentation, and appropriate notification of events and incidents.
• Ensure compliance with all Federal and State regulations, including OSHA, Workers' Comp, and ADA regulations.
• Manage the Guest Claims and Workers' Comp process.
• Direct the safety training and audit process that is department developed for hosts who work in Culinary, Merchandise, Entertainment/Recreation, Rooms Operations, Maintenance, Spas, Bell and Valet, and Housekeeping.
• Track all safety results as required to be collected and presented in quarterly and annual safety reviews.
• Develop and implement procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and alcohol safety/serving programs.
• Develop, and implement procedures to ensure compliance with regulations, and monitor food safety programs for all food service locations including banquet/event spaces.
• Develop annual goals and budgets, control expenses, and report on results.
• Ensure resort related safety/security policies are being followed in areas such as Housekeeping where resort specific safety/security standards may need to be implemented or monitored (i.e., chemical safety, bed making procedures, elevator usage, pest control, etc.).
• Develop relationships and partnerships with local regulatory and response agencies to include police, fire, EMS, rescue, hospitals, Workers' Comp. approved physicians and facilities, health department, and third party regulatory or audit agencies.
Security Responsibilities
• Responsible for the overall operation, function, and development of the security team and programs including strategic development, reputation with customers and guests, overall performance, and focus on continuous improvement.
• Create performance goals and expectations for the leadership team.
• Ensure company and local/state security standards are met.
• Monitor and manage security systems and equipment servicing such as alarm systems, access control, and monitoring.
• Manage, plan, and execute VIP property visits and events.
• Manage process with Homeland Security and other authorities with regards to risk assessments, managing feedback, and developing plans.
• Support all other departments with Security related needs or issues.
• Manage and direct company Loss Prevention programs.
• Provide detailed reporting as needed regarding camera systems, incident reports, and loss prevention investigations.
