Part Time Unpaid Internship
The DLDF is seeking an enthusiastic Legal Research Intern for the summer semester. Applicants must demonstrate passion for research, the first amendment, social media, and possess strong communication and writing skills. Familiarity with a variety of platforms and internet research skills are a must.
The DLDF intern will research current case law, news and law articles with regard to the first amendment, assist the DLDF's Administrator with the DLDF social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn) research of funding opportunities, help develop a legal clinic, and copyedit marketing material. The internship will culminate with a final research project for possible publication in the DLDF's sister organization, The Dramatists Guild's bi-monthly magazine, The Dramatist.
Over the course of the internship the candidate will have exposure to a variety of legal concentrations including: intellectual property, censorship, copyright, first amendment rights and more. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working independently on projects and is a self-starter. Start dates are flexible. Travel stipend and college credit is available.
Requirements:
- 10-15 hours per week
- Follow through on projects
- Ability to work independently
