Job Summary:
Responsibilities:
This position will join the team responsible for delivery and operations of data networking services within the Disney Television Animation Technology team. The successful candidate will demonstrate leadership and collaboration in working across various systems and development teams within the Disney Television Animation Technology organization and with their peers to deliver and maintain the network infrastructure. They will need to develop clear documentation and procedures, design and implement new technologies, revamp legacy infrastructures, and sustain mission critical production network operations.
Duties will include:
• Day to day operational support of network infrastructure and services
• Support multiple teams dedicated to using, building and operating core infrastructure
• Responsible for planning, execution and success of technical network projects
• Research, evaluate, and recommend new technologies
• Develop technology standards and network deployment templates
• Performs other miscellaneous technical special projects as assigned by department management.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years progressive data communications experience developing and operating enterprise network engineering & architecture.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of architectures including: DWDM, TCP/IP, Ethernet, BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, Cisco HW and SW (IOS/NX-OS), WAN Acceleration technologies, Security protocols (IPSEC/TLS/EAP), TRILL, QoS, PXE and IP Multicast.
• Experience of JunOS, IOS, Aruba OS, ACOS and PAN-OS.
• Hands on experience with security infrastructure and infrastructure services, including 802.1X,NAC, cryptography, IPSEC, deep inspection, firewalls, intrusion and threat protection platforms, AAA, RADIUS, DNS, NTP, monitoring, and logging.
• Demonstrated technical knowledge of UNIX, application analysis (packet capture analysis), network design, network management systems and troubleshooting techniques.
• Advanced communication skills, particularly the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences up to the C-level.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills, including the proven ability to adapt to a dynamic project environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong organization skills and professional demeanor. Ability to work under pressure and manage difficult situations and mission critical deadlines.
• Must have a strong customer service orientation and have the ability to work with a diverse user community.
• Must be well organized and detailed oriented.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Actionable knowledge of developing and automating with PHP, Python, and Perl
• Experience with cloud networking infrastructure technologies, including MPLS over GRE, VXLAN,
• SDN, NFV, OpenFlow and working with APIdriven infrastructure.
• Understanding of cloud computing platforms, including Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud
• Platform, OpenStack and Docker.
• Working knowledge of supporting and managing Linux systems.
• Networked storage technologies, including SMB/CIFS, NFS, GPFS, and object store.
• High performance I/O technologies, including fiber channel and Infiniband.
• Experience with Agile and Scrum principles and practices.
Preferred Education
• BS in Computer Science, Distributed Systems or Electric Engineering
• Professional and expert level industry certifications (e.g. JNCIP/JNCIE, CCNP/CCIE)
